GR delivering a hand picked line up of the finest up & coming live bands across London and way beyond for your absolute listening pleasure. This month, we present bassist and bandleader Charlie Axl Tebbutt's passion project THE AXL GROUP (LIVE), Free Entry, deep in the lounge at The CLF Art Lounge & Roof Garden. 🔥🔥🔥

GRASS ROOTS serving as a 1st Thursday monthly platform for promising artists to ‘polish their chops and play their own choons’. These fresh and fully inclusive sessions are a must attend for patrons and participants alike.

THE AXL GROUP (LIVE) - Band on stage around 9pm, performing 2 Live Sets

The Axl Group is a passion project fuelled by bassist and bandleader Charlie Axl Tebbutt. A conglomerate love for jazz, spirituality, dance, Brazilian and electronic music led to their debut EP 'Ephemera' in March 2024, which is bursting with exciting grooves, intricate horn melodies and spontaneous improvisation.

Featuring some of the freshest talent from the London jazz movement, the band line-up includes Anna Chai on tenor sax and flute, Joti on trumpet, Giuseppe Venturino and Guilherme Dornelas on keys, Richie Sweet on percussion, António Roldão on drums and Charlie himself on bass.

With some special guest appearances throughout, expect a riveting and ethereal show.

Grass Roots is a monthly live music affair which began life at The Vortex Jazz Club in March 2019 before briefly relocating to Notting Hill Arts Club in August 2021, now a resident monthly event at The CLF Art lounge
