Wed Jan 17 (8pm-12am / Free entry) - We righteously continue out brand new monthly (3rd Weds) jazz trip as GW Jazz presents "Future JAZZ Now!", showcasing the "Now & Next Generation" of JAZZ talent in the UK. Acts that you might not have heard of (yet) but will definitely be big names on the JAZZ landscape in the near future. All acts bringing pure jazz fire alongside your host and local legend GW JAZZ.

ABENG (Live) - Artist on stage around 9pm, playing 2 live sets

Named after the instrument used by Jamaican Maroons to communicate secretly across great distances, Abeng are an exciting new jazz band grounded in ancestral Caribbean music traditions. Using their shared Caribbean heritage as a musical foundation, ABENG offer a unique interpretation of London’s bustling jazz scene, reframing centuries old Caribbean folk music through a 21st century London lens.

GW JAZZ

Gordon Wedderburn is one half of the couple behind GW Jazz, a grassroots organization supporting Jazz, particularly emerging talent in London. Through his live event residencies, radio show, selector/dj activities and clothing brand, they’ve collaborated with and supported some of the biggest names on the London Jazz scene including, Sons of Kemet, Camilla George, Zara McFarlane, Ben Hayes, Nubiya Garcia, Moses Boyd, Lokkhi Terra, Dele Sosimi, Robert Mitchell, Collocutor, Tomorrow’s warriors and Ezra Collective.
