CHRIST-STÉPHANE BOIZI (LIVE) - Band on stage around 9pm, performing 2 Live Sets

Outstanding young jazz trombonist Christ-Stéphane Boizi and his stunning band perform Live.

Christ-Stéphane Boizi is currently in his second year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Part of Tomorrow’s Warriors' development programme, he has played at We Out Here Festival, Pizza Express Soho, Ronnie Scott’s and the Jazz Café, as well performing with Nathaniel Facey and Mark Kavuma.

Leading his own band, he draws on the influences of hard bop artists including Horace Silver and Jackie McLean and is particularly inspired by Art Blakey and his use of instrumentation with the Jazz Messengers. Christ-Stéphane blends this hard-bop psyche with elements of Gospel and contemporary jazz in his own stunning compositions that are becoming the hallmark of this exciting emerging artist.

Grass Roots is a monthly live music affair which began life at The Vortex Jazz Club in March 2019 before briefly relocating to Notting Hill Arts Club in August 2021, now a resident monthly event at The CLF Art lounge
