GR delivering a hand picked line up of the finest up & coming live bands across London and way beyond for your absolute listening pleasure. This month, we present eclectic, exploratory, genres hopping trio ABNA (LIVE), Free Entry, deep in our speakeasy jazz lounge at The CLF Art Lounge & Roof Garden.

ABNA (LIVE) - Band on stage around 9pm, performing 2 Live Sets

South London-based band ABNA share their fresh sonic ideas with hints of afrobeat, hip-hop, dub and grime through the instrumentation and narrative of a classic jazz outfit with Jedd Bailey-Smith on double bass, Sam Tunnicliffe on tenor sax and Blake Cascoe on drums.

Having honed their skills through programmes offered by Trinity Laban, Tomorrow’s Warriors and the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy, this talented triumvirate is starting to turn heads throughout the London music community.

Their self-titled debut EP, which they released themselves in June 2023 via Jedds's very own Jedidiah Records, pushes musical boundaries to the extreme and looks set to leave an indelible imprint on British jazz.

Grass Roots is a monthly live music affair which began life at The Vortex Jazz Club in March 2019 before briefly relocating to Notting Hill Arts Club in August 2021, now a resident monthly event at The CLF Art lounge
