GW Joined by dynamic, innovative Neo-Bop n’ Jazz Drill Pioneers HYPERNOVA  (Live and righteously direct). HYPERNOVA here to celebrate the release of their brilliant new single ‘Animus', righteously, free entry, all day long, up on the weatherproof roof at The CLF Art Lounge & Roof Garden. 🔥🔥🔥

Part of our weekly Sunday Soul Brunch sessions where we invite you to sit back, eat, drink, relax and/or dance to a diverse range of soul in all its forms. Soul to afro, motown to funk, jazz to hip hop' reggae and way beyond. All righteously served and performed for your absolute Sunday afternoon listening, eating and get down pleasure!

HYPERNOVA (LIVE) - Band on stage around 530pm, performing 2 live sets

Hypernova is an explosive phenomenon and the first of its kind. We fuse Philosophy, comedy and Jazz to provide audiences with a unique musical/theatrical experience. Our aim is not only to entertain, but also to stimulate and challenge our audiences intellectual faculties.

Our influences are drawn from a plethora of musical styles including: Renaissance music, be-bop, neo-classical music and drill music. As pioneers of the genres Neo-Bebop and Jazz drill we fuse traditional music with the sounds of today.

We do not just stop at music, as we draw from philosophy and neuroscience to engage with the minds of our audiences. In a fashion that is simultaneously intellectual and primitive. All of this is complemented with the nihilistic comedy that all of the band partake in whilst on stage. Thus, Hypernova will surely make you move your feet and show you a night (or day) you will not forget.

GW JAZZ

Gordon Wedderburn is one half of the couple behind GW Jazz, a grassroots organization supporting Jazz, particularly emerging talent in London. Through his live event residencies, radio show, selector/dj activities and clothing brand, they’ve collaborated with and supported some of the biggest names on the London Jazz scene including, Sons of Kemet, Camilla George, Zara McFarlane, Ben Hayes, Nubiya Garcia, Moses Boyd, Lokkhi Terra, Dele Sosimi, Robert Mitchell, Collocutor, Tomorrow’s warriors and Ezra Collective.
